Having recently ended a long career in public schools, I can tell you that SO MANY parents insist that their children, even in elementary school, must carry a phone for "safety" reasons. If only they knew the danger inherent to the phones. And so many of these kids report keeping their phones at bedside each night. We can hardly imagine the sleep lost due to calls and texts from friends.
Thank you for this comment. We don't have to imagine-they are many studies, reports and health surveys compiled from many countries to document the harms of ELP producing devices and tech. We need a "re-education" (or counter indoctrination) to change the tragic course for our next generations. After working in public schools in the USA in the last few years (after years in other countries in different aspects of education/training) I truly believe the current US public school system is unsalvageable from teacher training to administration and school boards. We need a complete re-vamp within communities and states. We need the will of the parents and policy makers to protect and guide our children. We shall see-other countries are doing it albeit slowly.
